Your Best Thanksgiving Ever

November 3, 2011 | by Great Thoughts | Great Thoughts | 3 Comments

I love Thanksgiving. What’s not to like about a holiday when you can wear jeans, eat great food and watch great Texas football?

I also love great cookbooks.  Your Best Thanskgiving Ever by Tara Ziegmont is a wonderful Thanksgiving cookbook.  The recipes are simple to follow but delicious.   A few highlights of the book for me:

1. Planning- if you follow this guide, you won’t be rushing around like a crazy person that Thursday morning.  You will actually enjoy the holiday!

2.  Her comments on making too much food, dealing with the un-defrostable turkey, surprise guests and recipe experimentation are right on point (and really funny!)

3. The recipes are clear and easy to follow.   And, she explains a lifelong mystery- what the heck is a chestnut and what the heck do you do with it?

Great Thoughts’ readers can purchase this great cookbook at a discount.   Simple go to this site and enter the discount code GREAT5 and you’ll purchase the book for $9.50 instead of $14.50

Now I’ve got to run- I’m going to make the Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes tonight!

Tara Ziegmont provided a review copy of this book.  All opinons are my own.

What are you reading and where are you going?

This does seem like a helpful book to have and give as a gift. I’m thinking newlyweds! And I love how thorough, yet brief your review is…it gave me enough to interest me in purchasing but not too in depth that I would lose interest. Thank you.

Great review! And this book looks like it will help you create the most amazing Thanksgiving ever. Problem is: If you do it this good, do you think everyone will ask you to host again next year? Ha! Ha!
