The Alice Network by Kate Quinn comes out on June 6th. I love this book. It is the story of female spies during World War I. The book trailer is absolutely fabulous:
Congratulations to Barbara Claypole White, Marilyn Rothstein and Amy Impellizzeri for their books being Finalists for the Women’s Fiction Writers 2017 Star Awards.
Sarah Pekkanen has 2 books coming in 2018. The first is The Wife Between Us, coauthored with Greer Kessel Hendricks, and will be out in January. And, in the summer of 2018 her eighth solo novel, with the working title The Ever After will be published. Here’s the cover of The Wife Between Us:
One of my very favorite authors and people, Kristina McMorris, signed a two-book deal with Source Books, the first of which will be published in 2018.
Hemingway’s Girl by Erika Robuck is one of my all-time favorite books. Clearly others love it as much as I do as it is back for re-print, 5 years after publication. Wow!
Clothing retailer Talbots has partnered with Random House for a Summer book club. Details here.
The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle is one of the most important books of our time as it recounts the true story of the author, Jeannette Walls, growing up basically homeless. This book was on the best seller list for over seven years. I had the privilege of hearing her speak and the story is even more captivating when told by her personally.
The movie based on the book will be in theaters on August 11, 2017. I am thrilled to share the movie trailer of The Glass Castle starring Naomi Watts and Woody Harrellson:
