2 Great Reads

May 17, 2010 | by Andrea Katz | Uncategorized | No Comments

Short post today as I am in mommy mania- twins’ bday this week, field day, dance recital, end of school stuff, etc.

Finished TWO great books over the crazy weekend.

1. Persian Girls by Nachid Rachlin- A memoir (true) of an Iranian girl given to her aunt to raise by her mother.  At age 9, her family takes her back.  I won’t say more to spoil the story but Rachlin is a fabulous writer and you feel her every emotion in the book.

2. Heart of the Matter by Emily Griffin– I skipped reading the papers yesterday (and I LOVE reading the Sunday newspapers) to curl up with my Kindle and finish this book.  SO GOOD!!!  The story of a suburban family, working doctor hubby and stay at home wife where the hubby is tempted by a patient’s mother.  This is a good 1-2 day read.  I would deem it upper beach read but a really good upper beach read.

Happy Monday all!

What are you reading and where are you going?
