From the Land Down Under

March 10, 2011 | by Andrea Katz | Great Thoughts | 7 Comments

We all may like great travel but, let’s be honest, we really only like great travel if at great prices.   I recently learned of Jetabroad.  Jetabroad is a Sydney-based, global online travel agency focused on great deals on international airfares and travel insurance.   You can book flights worldwide on their site.

For fun, I put in numerous sample itineraries and was delighted to find many cheaper airfares that I found on some of the U.S. based sites.  For example, I found fares to California for this summer approximately $130 cheaper than on any other site.   I also like their “what you see is what you pay” fare quotes- you don’t see one fare and then find out about taxes and airport fees. On a popular airlines’ site (I won’t name names), I recently priced a fare and then four clicks later found out about $115 per ticket in fees.  Clearly, that wouldn’t happen on Jetabroad.

If you have kids who also like to travel, you have to check out this Youtube video from Jetabroad– it is hysterical!  My kids love it and can’t wait to try to book their own trip.

What are you reading and where are you going?

WOW – I just checked against what I had to pay for my 18 year olds ticket to Turks & Caicos – the money I could have saved – unbelievable! This website is going to my “favorites”. The prices are amazing, but the great thing is that they do not have flying for twelve hours just to get to your destination on the “cheap”. I love it!

With the price of gas getting higher every day, I am worried that airfares are going to skyrocket too!
I am looking for different companies to book airline tickets through-thanks for the tip!

Jetabroad sounds like a great resource for low fares! I LOVED the video – what a clever way to demonstrate the ease of using Jetabroad. I am definitely check it out next time I am booking airfares.

WOW – I just priced my son’s trip to Turks & Caicos (we purchased the ticket last November for this spring) and for Jetabroad’s price, the whole family could be going! The prices are great – but what really sets them apart is that the flight times are reasonable – both as to time of day and length of travel. No longer will you travel all day just to travel “cheap” – this site has been added to my favorites! Thanks.
