I like the premise of this book; it’s not a diet but a lifestyle way of eating. She starts the book with this quote,
“I have always hated dieting- it feels so contrary to the idea of being a self- empowered woman in a world where we should be able to do anything our brothers and fathers can do.” “Why not share the earned muffin after a run, the dessert at the end of a long tiring day?”
Danziger makes this eating plan easy; she gives 30 Superfoods for weight loss. Many of these you have seen before. Some like pumpkin seeds and almond butter were nice additions. I have been putting one teaspoon of almond butter in my greek yogurt daily since reading the book!
I love any “diet” that has a section called ” Three More Reasons to Eat Steak.” Yes, this is a great eating plan for us carnivores!
And my favorite quote from the book-
“Carbs are like lovers: The best ones leave you feeling fulfilled and happy; the wrong ones, unsatisfied and hungry for more. “
