There are a host of wonderful books coming out in February. Here are just a few of the ones I have already read or are on my list:
The Flood Girls by Richard Fifield will be one of the best books you read this year. I promise. I cannot say enough good things about this book or the author. Rush to buy!
This Was Not The Plan by Cristina Alger is terrific. I loved her first book, The Darlings. If you haven’t read it, buy both. Her writing is both smart and funny.
The Widow by Fiona Barton is a psychological thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Don’t start this one late at night as you will stay up reading all night!!
I’ll See You In Paris by Michelle Gable features Paris and a crumbling English estate (those reel me in everytime). Another excellent read from Gable.
No Ordinary Life by Suzanne Redfearn is a family drama with a fabulous cover. This one is one my nightstand!
One More Day by Kelly Simmons is outstanding. The intrigue and emotions in this book are simply too good. Read it!
Missing Pieces by Heather Gudenkauf– Secrets and family intrigue make this book SO good! Again, Gudenkauf has written a masterpiece.
The Opposite of Everything by Joshilyn Jackson got this review from Library Journal, “The smart-ass, no holds-barred narration by whip-smart Paula/Kali… should please the many fans of Jackson’s snappy writing style.” They had me at “smart-ass narration.”
Nookietown by V.C. Chickering is a debut novel that has great reviews. And, it has my favorite title year to date. It looks to be provocative and funny.
Under the Influence by Joyce Maynard earned this review from Publisher’s Weekly, “Maynard’s latest is illuminating and mesmerizing, highlight not only differing definitions of friendship, but the shades of gray between right and wrong and the lengths to which some will go to protect their self-interest.” I am excited to read it!
I received review copies of many of these books. All opinions are my own.
What are you reading and where are you going?
